Wedding photography is our passion. Every wedding is unique, and we strive to make images from your wedding that match your style, and capture not just the special moments but the mood and texture of the day. We are a family-owned, family-run business with decades of photography experience among us. Our aim is not to compete with the larger, assembly-line bridal photography companies or McWedding studios, but instead to offer boutique services tailored to the needs of each bride, groom and family. We shoot weddings in either all digital, all film (medium format) or mixed film and digital. We are large enough to provide completely professional service, and small enough to remember that our business is centered around one of the most important days of your life. For every wedding or engagement portrait session we photograph, our photographers use the finest equipment with complete backup systems: extra cameras, lenses, lights, memory and film, all to ensure that equipment failure doesn't ruin your wedding day pictures. Having additional cameras, different lenses, and extra lights allows us to capture special, alternate shots that others might miss. Our wedding photography equipment is modular and interchangeable, allowing us to swap lenses, lights and bodies for maximum artistic effect, and provide another level of piece of mind.

I still have a question. Whom do I contact? We are a small studio specializing in wedding and formal event photography. However, we also shoot other types of events including sports, and a select clientele uses our services for commercial work. Please see our gallery pages for portfolio examples. We offer studio and location sessions for engagement and bridal portraits. At your wedding, we are happy to mix styles and always put our customer's preference before our own artistic styles. All of our photographers use the finest equipment with complete backup systems: camera, lenses, lights, etc. As well as ensuring that equipment failure doesn't ruin your big day, having additional cameras, different lenses, and extra lights allows us to capture special, alternate shots that others might miss. We usually shoot in color and convert to monochrome (black white, sepia, etc.) as desired. This allows for the greatest image tonality and maximum flexibility for editing. We will shoot with up to three photographers and/or assistants as needed. Because we carry full back-up systems, we shoot the majority of our weddings with one photographer and no assistant. For parties of 200 guests or more, we recommend two photographers; regardless, we will accommodate your wishes. Obviously, the more coverage you have the more incredible images you'll get! Standard albums with individual pictures. Story-teller albums, comprised of large photographic collage pages, featuring one or several images per page. Coffee table books, which are bound, four-color press books. Brag books We also offer wallet sized prints and thank-you cards. Absolutely! While we prefer the flexibility to use flash if it's needed, we respect your venue's rules about flash-photography. We have a substantial investment in equipment, and that includes low-light lenses that deliver remarkable results, even in very dim lighting. We use the finest professional photographic equipment available. All of our photographers carry a full back up system (camera, lenses, flash, lights, etc.) which is absolutely critical to ensure that equipment failure doesn't impact you on your big day. Typically, we charge by the day. We don't like to hurry anyone. You've waited your whole life for this day - we don't want to rush you on this special occasion! We typically do not charge for travel, except under special circumstances. If round-trip travel from Boston exceeds three hours, or if a venue is not accessible by car (e.g., Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, etc.) a travel charge may apply. We do not usually charge to go to a second or third location. Again, we don't like to watch the clock, so except for unusual situations (multiple days, more than 3 locations, more than 12 hours per day, etc.) there is no extra charge. Unless specially requested, we shoot digitally. We come prepared to shoot an unlimited amount of digital shots, typically around 1200-1500 in a day. Depending on the number of photographers, edits, etc., this typically means 400-600 shots per photographer for you to choose from. We offer prints up to 30x40 standard, and larger than that if requested. If you will want prints larger than 30x40, please tell us beforehand as we recommend that those pictures be taken with medium format film camera. We digitally retouch all formal portraits as needed. Typically, we also retouch about 10% of the total images taken from the reception and ceremony. All of our retouching is done digitally, and the original images as well as edited ones are archived off-site in a fire and theft-proof safe. Online Galleries: We host images to allow you to select the images you want to purchase or include in albums. We also host images for guests to purchase, if requested. Archiving and Restoration: Negative, slide, and print scanning, restoration, and preservation. Video Slide Shows: Television viewable, streaming web shows, PC video files and screensavers available. Please visit our slide show pages for examples. Not specifically. Each contract is tailor-made for each client, and as such, will spell out exactly what is included. Our print rates are well below industry averages. We store all images in perpetuity, off-site in a theft and fire-proof safe. We offer high-resolution digital copies of both original and edited images with full reprint rights. This is included free with some plans and as an optional cost for others. Typically about 3-4 weeks, depending on what has been purchased. As a small company, we recommend contacting us as soon as you have set a date. The further in advance you book us, the better the chance we'll be available, especially if you are requesting a particular photographer. Our deposit terms are flexible, but are typically 50% down. For photography services, it is due upon reserving us for a particular date; for products such as prints, albums, slide shows, etc., it is due when you place your order. The balance for photography services is due one month before your wedding day. This is both for our assurance and to simplify things for you; it's one less thing you need to worry about as your big day draws near. The balance for products (prints, albums, slide shows, etc.) is due before they are shipped. We accept checks, money-orders, credit card and PayPal payments. Please see the Payments page for details. Because we cannot book our photographers for your date once they are reserved for you, deposits for services are non-refundable. Refunds on deposits for products depend on the hours of work or materials used at the time we receive cancellation.
